Offered by Provence Tourisme Take the time to browse the towns and villages typical of the Blue Coast. Martigues first, the charm of its canals, bridges and quays that have inspired many painters.

The coastal path then leads you from Carro to Sausset-les-Pins then Carry-le-Rouet. The course offers you a cut shore, succession of creeks, beaches and capes on the hillside.

1. Martigues, the "Provençal Venice"

The day begins with a stroll through the alleys and quaysides of the "Venise Provençale", more specifically the Brescon quay, aptly named "Miroir aux Oiseaux" on the banks of the Saint-Sébastien canal to admire the fishermen's houses and the colorful facades.

2. Source of artistic inspiration

The Ziem Museum opens its doors for a discovery of Felix Ziem, painter and traveler martalte but also Fauve painters, such as Dufy, Braque or Derain inspired by these shores of the Mediterranean and Etang de Berre.

3. Carro, the fishing crown and beach

Join the shores of the Mediterranean and the Blue Coast First step the small fishing port of Carro. The Cape Crown Lighthouse is outlined below. Nearby, a coastal path between rocks and creeks approaches former quarries immersed. It can reach the beautiful beach of Sainte-Croix. You can also find it by road. Pine forest and white sand make the postcard.

4. Sausset-les-Pins and Carry-le-Rouet

Continue to Sausset-les-Pins, along the rocky coast. You can opt according to the season for a relaxing session at the beach of Rives d'Or or underwater swimming with Blue Coast Diving.
 

5. A marine park to explore

Always by the coastal road join Carry-le-Rouet. You are here in the heart of the Marine Park of the Blue Coast and more particularly the marine reserve. You can easily discover the coastal superficial funds. Activities proposed by the Nature and Nautical Base of Carry-le-Rouet. For idleness and tradition a plagette named Fernandel, famous resident of Carry, welcomes you near the port.
 

6. The sunset at Méjean in Ensuès-la-Redonne

If the most courageous can try the stand up paddle at sunset, contemplation from the small port of Mejean surrounded by pine forests remains a must of the coast.
