My Explore Bag treasure hunt - Odyssée en Provence
Presentation
Like an adventurer, you will set off with a backpack containing puzzles and exploration accessories: maps, magnifying glass, compass ... to solve the great Odyssey in Provence!
Put on your sneakers, bring your smartphone and interact with your digital city-to-city guide.
This experience combining treasure map and digital monitoring is a first in the South region. This is a unique concept, the result of a collaboration between 4 tourist offices and a young startup "My Explore Bag".
The tourist offices located in Martigues, Istres, Salon-de-Provence and Miramas offer you a large-scale adventure by exploring the perimeter of the Etang de Berre to discover our heritage. 4 puzzles are offered per participating city. Each participant will have to answer as many questions as possible (multiple choice questions, open questions, etc.) and take up several challenges (observation, orientation, culture, puzzles, etc.). The opportunity to challenge yourself with friends or family!
Collecting these 4 clues will allow you to find the ultimate GPS point. The climax of this symbolic treasure hunt!
The "Odyssey in Provence" treasure hunt can be done partially by focusing on a city or two. It can also be done in its entirety at your own pace, without time limit or expiration.
The price includes :
- The backpack and its objects contained in the bag (everything is yours!). You do not need to return the backpack and its contents after the treasure hunt.
- Access to the chatbot from messenger (requires an internet connection) for the 4 participating cities (regardless of the place of departure).
- The explorer guide containing route recommendations for the 4 cities.
- The possibility of redoing the route partially (favoring the city of your choice) or in its entirety (out of the 4 cities) unlimited.

About
Conditions of saleWhy "ODYSSÉE EN PROVENCE"?
The Odyssey is an ancient Greek epic composed after the Iliad, towards the end of the 8th century BC. J.-C.
It is considered, along with the Iliad, as one of the two "founding poems" of ancient Greek culture and as one of the greatest masterpieces of world literature.
The Odyssey chronicles the return home of the hero Ulysses. During his journey, made perilous by the wrath of the god Poseidon, Ulysses meets many mythological characters.
"Odyssey" has become by extension a common name designating a more or less eventful "Travelogue" full of unique adventures.
You will live this experience in the territory of Martigues, Istres, Miramas and Salon-de-Provence by participating in a "phygital" experience (contraction between the words "physical" and "digital")
Some tips for a top visit:
- Half a day per city (2 days to complete the complete tour of the 4 cities) at your own pace
- 1 single mobile phone (the one with the largest screen) for an optimal experience
- We recommend 5 people maximum. Each plays a specific role (the keeper of the backpack, the chief explorer who holds the map, the driver who reads the questions, etc.)
- It is necessary to download the "Messenger" application on your phone (it is not essential to also have the Facebook application).
