Getting around by bus

The Ulysse transport (Lebus) service in Métropole Aix Marseille Provence operates between Cornillon-Confoux, Fos-sur-Mer, Grans, Istres, Martigues, Miramas, Port-de-Bouc, Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, Saint-Chamas and Saint-Mitre les Remparts. 

The Ulysse services operates 10 lines serving Martigues center and its outskirts all year round: : 4 connecting lines (single fare of €1 per trip). The service offer is supplemented by an on-demand transport service, Allô le bus for low-population areas, and a TAD/PMR service for people with reduced mobility of 80% and over.
 
Shuttles serving the hyper-center of Istres and Martigues in order to promote access, to boost the daily movements of the populations in the hyper-center by public transport. In Martigues, the Coeur de ville (L20) bus serves the districts of Jonquières, L’Ile and Ferrière. It operates from Monday to Saturday, from 7:30/45 a.m. to 7:15/35 p.m.

The free Martigues maritime shuttle is parked at the platform and waits for its passengers from morning to evening. It bears the Ulysse logo and is part of the urban public transport network.

Getting around by boat

In addition to urban lines, the Ulysse Allô le Bus service proposes a maritime shuttle in the centre of Martigues.
 
On the Chenal de Caronte, this shuttle stops at the Hôtel de ville (town hall), Médiathèque (multimedia library) and Degut. Thursday morning and Sunday morning, market days, the shuttle stops at the car park: Parking Général Leclerc. A second boat operates on Thursday mornings from September to June. The shuttle service is free.
The Martigues bus stations and SNCF train stations are equipped with bicycle lockers for traveling freely and using public transport in soft mobility

Getting around by bike

The Bouches-du-Rhône local authority has developed specific facilities to encourage cycling, taking into account different practices such as recreational, sport, etc. with user safety in mind.
 
The “Boucles du 13” circular route
Itineraries of 20 to 50 km with tourist attractions. The itineraries take attractive departmental roads with little traffic. Signage has been planned with the name, level of difficulty and length of the itinerary. The “Boucles du 13” are for occasional users wanting to discover tourist attractions and explore environmental features of the area. They are suited to all members of the family.
