Presentation

The Syndicat d'Initiative, created in 1951, became officially known as the Office de Tourisme in 1993. It greets visitors and advises them before and during their trip to Martigues and Provence.
Welcome to Martigues Tourist Office
In 2002, the tourist office was moved to the Maison du Tourisme - one of the last stages in a major urban development project around the town hall which brings together La Halle (shows, trade fairs, conventions), the Galerie de l'Histoire, the Hôtel de Police, the Hôtel du Conseil de Territoire Pays de Martigues and the Hôtel Ibis.
It is just a few minutes walk from the historical Ile district.

The 80 m² reception hall has three areas which are clearly identified by signs over the reception desk:
- the main reception with free internet access (not available)
- the ticket office and boutique with a variety of products
- the lounge where visitors can relax and take the time they need to read the documents available and use the free WiFi. A colouring-in and reading area for children.
