As part of the hiking week, discover the history of the small port of Carro, on the Côte Bleue. A group outing, with Randonnée et Ski de Découverte Martigues (RSD) to accompany you. Easy / 14km / 6h / 150m of positive elevation gain.

The rich history of the small port of Carro, on the Côte Bleue, through its quarries exploited since antiquity and its military past from 1870 to 1944.
Numerous relics and documents will help you discover the richness of this area.

Practical information - mobility.
- From Marseille: Bus 34 from the bus station towards Martigues (7.15am) then at the Martigues interchange take bus 30 (8.16am), get off at the plage de Carro stop (8.52am).
- From Aix take bus 38 towards Martigues (7am) then at the PEM take bus 30 (8.16am), get off at the plage de Carro stop (8.52am). It's a 100-metre walk to the Carro community centre.

Hiking week in Provence: all the hiking associations (affiliated to the FFRandonnée 13 and thanks to the help of the Departmental Council and Provence Tourism), offer you various outings, whether hiking, Nordic walking or longe coast to discover the Bouches-du-Rhône, between coastline, plains and hills! A catalog of 60 free outings, with compulsory registration, from easy to difficult level, departing from several towns and villages in the department, towards the various massifs, forests and coasts.
