On the quai du Port, in the old city, the Panier district tells the story of Marseille.
This district is located on the butte des Moulins (11ha) and spreads from the butte Saint Laurent to the Hôtel Dieu and from the Vieille Charité to the post-war buildings. It was a district of small trades linked to the sea, but today it is looking to the future with the Euroméditerrannée project. To see: the Daviel palace, the place of Lenche, the place of the Mills, the street of the Panier, the rise of Accoules and the bell-tower, the Hotel Dieu, the Vieille Charité, the cellars of Saint Sauveur...
