2026 Program in Martigues
- Saturday, June 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Walk from the Ferrières Garden to the Tétrodon.
Meet at Place des Aires.
This guided walking tour, taking in Place des Aires, the Ferrières Garden, the Parc de la Rode, the Tholon archaeological site, and the Tétrodon, will explore the landscaping, history, and heritage of the Étang de Berre coastline.
- Sunday, June 7, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Visit and Scents of the Annonciade Chapel.
Meet at the Annonciade Chapel.
Created between the 17th and 18th centuries, the Baroque decor of the Annonciade Chapel is rich in floral motifs. Lilies, roses, acanthus, columbines, and sunflowers—this guided tour will offer the opportunity to identify these plants and discover their symbolism, at the crossroads of art, nature, and beliefs.
- Sunday, June 7, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Workshop, Scents of the Annonciade.
Meet at the Annonciade Chapel. For children ages 6 to 12.
Lilies, roses, sunflowers, olive trees, and acanthus—the Annonciade setting abounds with plants. A fun guided tour focusing on flowers and scents will allow children to recognize their shapes and fragrances. Then, an art workshop will offer the chance to create their own flower with multicolored petals.
