Join us for a family walk along the Mediterranean coast, between capes, beaches, quarries and hidden treasures. On the programme along the trail: nature discovery, activities for young and old, shared picnic...
... and maybe we'll get our feet wet!
This Sunday, we're heading for a place that's particularly rich in contrasts: Bonnieu. We'll start in the cove, with its beach, car park and industrial zone in the background, including the imposing EDF power station. Then there's the plain, with its sandy areas, open scrubland and dry grasslands, making it a popular spot for rare plants and botanists. Finally, a coastal path will take us over ancient seabeds to our final destination: the Pointe de Bonnieu and its magnificent rocks sculpted by time. Along the way, you can also expect to see blockhouses from the last war, orchids and halophilic plants, debris deposited by the sea, and a naturist beach that we'll be careful to avoid.
For children, the rocks, sand, sea and stones alone are enough to keep them entertained for years, but as usual, we've got a few little activities in store for you along the way. And who knows, maybe we'll get our feet wet! See you on Sunday!
For Les Joyeux Bombyles, the important thing is the journey, not the destination: along the way, the children play freely, and we're happy to stop and look at a pretty flower or a strange insect. So there are frequent stops, and all the better for not being in a hurry. Our routes are designed to give you a mini-adventure in the heart of nature. We love the stony lanes, the paths that go deep into the forest, the old ruins, the twisted trees... Our walks are an experience of sharing and discovery, where young and old can marvel together.
- Meeting point: 11am at the Anse de Bonnieu car park in Martigues. The GPS location of the meeting point will be sent to you once you have registered.
- Distance & difficulty: A walk of less than 5 km. The route mainly follows dirt and gravel paths.
- Equipment: Good walking shoes, ideally soft for greater comfort and agility, will be required. Dress for the weather and remember to bring a change of clothes for the children. A baby carrier may be useful for younger children.
- Public: Open to the whole family: parents, children of all ages (including babies in baby carriers), grandparents, friends and nature lovers.
- Meals: We plan to have a picnic break at midday and a snack at the end of the walk. So don't forget to bring your lunch!
- Weather: In the event of bad weather, the walk will be postponed and you will be entitled to a full refund.
Les Joyeux Bombyles is a non-profit association. If, at the end of this outing, you decide to join us, the cost of the outing will be deducted from your annual membership. This gives you free access to all our walks throughout the year. Annual membership: €12 per adult and €10 per child (aged 3 and over).
