In this month of March, when we have taken to celebrating women, La Capouliero offers a theatrical reading of a magnificent text by Violette Ailhaud: L’Homme Semence.

In Provence, in recent times and during difficult periods, ordinary women, often referred to as "Amazons," made an unprecedented pact to maintain life in their village, emptied of all its men without exception, for the third time in less than 70 years!

This story recounts a painful chapter in our local history, forgotten by the broader history of France, a determined struggle of women for survival, and also a fervent love story.

This performance, led by Miquela Bramerie, is primarily in French, with occasional glimpses of the Provençal language, and the songs are exclusively in Provençal.

This dramatic reading is a gem! A moment suspended in time, at the crossroads of history and personal experience.
