Presentation
Who hasn't dreamt of visiting museums in the magic of the night? Come and share a convivial and artistic experience: a creative workshop, a theatrical interlude, belly dancing, a tour and a DJ! Admission free, subject to availability.
- This is an opportunity to discover the new exhibition VOYAGES, Connecting the World.
Featuring a dialogue between paintings, drawings, posters, emerging and more contemporary photographs, archaeological furniture and sketchbooks, it brings together 200 varied works from its collections. We'll be following in the footsteps of the artist-traveller Félix Ziem and painters such as Francis Picabia, Raoul Dufy and André Derain.
The new route will also highlight lesser-known artists such as Seyssaud and Dellepiane, as well as works that have never been seen before or are rarely exhibited.
All aboard!
- 5pm to 8pm: The journey of a postcard.
Workshop organised as part of European Museum Night
Drawing inspiration from the various works created by the artists, it's now up to you to create your own imaginary postcard and take us on a different kind of journey!
Ages 6 and up. Continuous workshop from 5pm to 8pm, subject to availability.
- 6pm to 8pm: Oriental dance workshop at the Musée Ziem!
In keeping with Ziem's Oriental theme, come and take part in short Oriental dance sessions in the museum's garden, led by Siti.
Admission free, subject to availability.
- 8.30pm to 9.30pm: DJ Set Rhythms of the World.
Selecta Will worked for Chinese Man Records for 15 years and has also been a member of Musical Riot for over 20 years, with whom he created the ‘Pili Pili’ tropical evenings.
He'll be putting down his turntables at the Musée Ziem for a set dedicated to travel and music from the Mediterranean basin, Africa, the Caribbean, South America and Brazil.
Let's party!!!
European Museum Night was created in 2005 by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication.
It gives visitors the chance to visit participating museums by night, free of charge, and without having to worry about closing time.
