The big wash is a moment all together around a common creation, the best thing is to come to the Couronne!
The festival committee is ready for "La Grande Lessive" (The Great Wash).
Created in 2006 by Joëlle Gonthier, La Grande Lessive is a participatory art event that has brought together 15,300,000 people in locations across 134 countries and 5 continents. The concept is simple and unifying: on the same day, a line is strung across squares and streets to accommodate an A4-sized artwork (painting, cutout, collage, photograph, digital image, etc.) from each participant. Each artwork is created based on the same invitation.
The theme is "The Game - Us." Depending on their age, skills, preferences, etc., each person explores their own path, without trying to replicate a model. There is no selection process or prize.
To contribute, here are some important details: the artwork must be an A4 size. It is signed on the back before being hung on the La Grande Lessive line.
If you are alone, you have two options: feel free to join the committee's collective. There are no prizes or sales. There is also no commercial, religious, or political promotion. Only one piece per person will be exhibited.
If you are a group, club, or association, please contact Florence at 06 72 60 95 57 to arrange your display.
And above all, everyone is welcome to participate.
In case of strong winds, the event will be canceled.
