The Hôtel Colla de Pradines, a jewel of Martigues' heritage, is revealed through a unique exhibition held at the Martigues Tourist Office from January to March.

Go back in time and discover the fascinating history of this emblematic monument of Martigues, through an exceptional exhibition of archives. This building, witness to past centuries, has evolved over time, going from a noble residence in the 17th century, to a Town Hall then a District Court, to today house the premises of the Tourist and Leisure Office.

A place full of history and transformations!

Through rare archive documents, plans, photographs and period objects, immerse yourself in the architectural and social evolution of the Hôtel de Colla de Pradines. Explore its role in Martigues life and discover how it is part of our city's heritage.

- February 4, 2025 at 6 p.m., Martigues Tourist Office.
Conference led by Hélène Marino: During the renovation work to develop the Tourist and Leisure Office, archaeological excavations revealed unsuspected treasures, witnesses to the multiple lives of the Hôtel de Colla de Pradines. This free conference, led by Hélène Marino, heritage curator, archaeologist at the city of Martigues, Art, History, Archaeology and Archives department, will immerse you in the significant discoveries made under its foundations.

- February 12, 2025 at 2 p.m. at the Art, History, Archaeology and Archives department (Quai A. Briand, l'Ile).
Workshop for 6-12 year olds, "A colorful hotel": After discovering the exterior of the Hôtel de Colla de Pradines, children will visit the exhibition in a fun way. The visit will be followed by a creative workshop. The children will imagine from an old photograph, their original private mansion, colored with different plastic techniques: painting, colored inks, pastels ...

- March 11, 2025 at 6 p.m., Martigues Tourist Office.
Meeting at the hotel: visit and meeting to collect testimonies. Discover the Hôtel de Colla de Pradines in a new light through a visit with Sandrine Lemire, architect in the city who followed the recent rehabilitation work. What if the walls of the Hôtel de Colla de Pradines could speak? Take part in a meeting dedicated to collecting your memories and anecdotes about this emblematic building of Martigues.
