Presentation

The illustrious Wim Vandekeybus returns to Les Salins and transforms the scene into the Pantheon. On intense music by Warren Ellis, member of the group Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
The choreographer takes a new team of virtuoso dancers and actors into the torments of the offspring of Zeus and Hera.

The universe of Wim Vandekeybus is singular, animal and carnal. By developing the narration through the body, rhythm, poetry and image, he manages to sublimate each character of Greek mythology in their strength, in their ambition or in their weakness. Israel Galvàn, Flamenco legend, plays, in video, Tiresias, the family's best friend and Iona Kewney, Scottish painter and contortionist plays Hephaestus, Zeus's indispensable blacksmith. In the words of Fiona Benson, dance merges with poetry, the stage with the image to create a new and singular world.
