Mark your calendars! The next National Pigeon Day will take place on Saturday 22 February in Martigues. The Fédération Colombophile Française will be welcoming pigeon fanciers from all over France. Book your meals and excursions, link in the orange frame.
Organised by the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur region, it is open to all.
Friday 21 February.
- 3pm: FCF national board meeting, salle Dufy.
- 3.30pm-6pm: Accommodation exhibition, indoor boulodrome.
- Reception of delegations, regional evening, indoor boulodrome (reservation required).
Saturday 22nd February.
- 8.45am: Boat trip and visit to the Fort de Bouc (booking required).
- 9am: Opening of doors and stands, covered boulodrome.
- 9.15am: lecture on ‘magnetism and carrier pigeons’, salle Dufy.
- 9.30am: Young pigeon fancier competition, indoor bowling green.
- 10am: FCF general meeting, salle Dufy.
- 11.15am: ‘The new FCF application’ conference, salle Dufy.
- 12pm: sale of champions (part 1), indoor bowling green.
- 12.30pm-2pm: lunch, salle Dufy (booking required).
- 2pm: Guided tour of the History Gallery.
- 2pm: Welcome by partners and elected representatives with fanfare.
- 2.30pm: Presentation of the Sèvres vase, presented by the President of the Republic, for the 2024 national championships. Covered Boulodrome.
- 4.30pm: Sale of the champions (2nd part), indoor bowling alley.
- 5.30pm: lecture ‘le sens de navigution’ by F. Ruffier, indoor bowling alley.
- 7.30pm: Gala evening hosted by the Gipsy Kings Héritiers, indoor boulodrome (booking required).
Meals and excursions must be booked in advance.
Friday 21 February, evening: regional meal.
Créspeo, millefeuille of basil-flavoured pancakes with tapenade, peppers and artichoke purée, tomato coulis with basil - Cassolette of cod, onion confit and potato purée - Citrus trilogy Coffee and wine.
-Saturday 22 February, lunch.
Southern Italy buffet (7 courses) - Lemon sorbet and limoncello baba.
- Saturday 22 February, gala evening meal.
Mushroom pie - Filet of Saint-Pierre bouillabaisse style - Gourmet coffee, champagne, red, white or rosé wine.
- Excursion to Fort de Bouc on Saturday 22 February.
On the occasion of the congress, a three-hour excursion to the Fort de Bouc is proposed. Departure at 9 a.m.
