Conservatory of the provençal santon
Museum Arts and culture, Local history Folk arts and popular traditionsPresentation
The Provençal Santon Conservatory, inaugurated in 2017, was created by the Santon maker Henri Vezolles. Surrounded by fellow collectors, they decided to exhibit their most beautiful figurines to the public.
It is without doubt one of the richest santon museums in Provence. In an 18th century house you can admire the works of the greatest Provencal santon makers of the past and present.
In addition to the works of fifteen "Meilleurs Ouvriers de France" santon makers, you will find on more than 160 m2 of exhibition space the entire history of the Provencal santon.
Through more than 2000 santons made by more than 100 santon makers from the 19th to the 21st century, you will have the most complete vision of this popular art which makes the charm of Provencal Christmas.
