Basilique le Sacré-Coeur
Historic site and monument Religious heritage ChurchPresentation
The construction of the Sacred Heart church dates from 1920 by T. Dupoux. Because it was not completed, the lack of finishing touches gave it a more modernist style than the Romanesque-Byzantine one that was initially planned.
To see: the Pietà by Botinelly, the stained glass windows by Pinta, and more generally its sumptuous decoration.
The case and the instrumental part are by Laval Thivolle (1988) and have reused some elements of the Haerpfer organ of Saint-Charles d'Alger.
Parish priest: Jean-Pierre Ellul. Masses: Saturday at 7:00 pm, Sunday at 8:00 am, 9:30 am, 11:00 am, 7:00 pm, weekdays at 7:00 am, 8:30 am, 7:00 pm, and at 4:00 pm on Friday. Reception in the basilica from Monday to Friday from 9:15 am to 12 pm and from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
