Museum Fine Arts, Painting SculpturePresentation
The V. van Gogh Foundation is dedicated to enhancing its artistic heritage by questioning the resonance of its work in art. The perspective of his painting with the work of contemporary artists will reveal a dialogue
Vincent van Gogh is a key figure in 20th century art. To this day, his influence continues among artists and his work exerts an unprecedented magnetism on the public. It was in Arles that he produced his most beautiful masterpieces in just fifteen months.
The Vincent van Gogh Foundation in Arles offers a unique approach to Van Gogh by exploring the resonance of his work with current artistic creation. Thanks to partnerships with public and private collections, the Foundation presents one or more of Van Gogh's paintings throughout the year alongside works by modern and contemporary artists in temporary exhibitions - such as Laura Owens, Roni Horn, David Hockney, Urs Fischer, Alice Neel, and Nicole Eisenman in 2022.
