Presentation
Fully protected, the natural heritage of the Marais du Vigueirat is internationally recognised and has been classified as a National Nature Reserve. It is also a core area of the Camargue Biosphere Reserve.
The Marais du Vigueirat present a great diversity of fauna and flora as well as an admirable mosaic of natural environments, and offer to discover 4 manades of horses and bulls of the Camargue breed, 1 breeding of bulls of the Morucha breed and 1 breeding of sheep.
The horse ride allows you to discover the marshes in complete tranquillity.
1 hour ride:
A horse ride of about 1 hour that invites you to discover the typical environments of the Camargue. Traditions and contemporary art meet at the Cabanataù, a herdsman's hut topped by a huge bull's head. A small herd of mares roams the meadows and sansouïres where the saladelle grows, the emblematic plant of the gardian and his Camargue.
A walk accessible to all to share a convivial moment with the family. We accept children from 6/7 years old who practice horse riding independently and regularly in a riding school.
1h30 ride:
This 1h30 ride goes through the heart of the highlands of the marshes, reserved for grazing. You will meet a herd of mares accompanied by their foals of the year. Nathalie, a true enthusiast and breeder of Camargue horses, will introduce you to this local breed which is emblematic of the region. During the visit, you will also be able to observe a herd of Morucha bulls, absolutely unique in France.
A horse ride that will adapt to the level of the riders to offer you an unforgettable experience!
2-hour ride:
On horseback in the middle of the marsh, we propose to discover the landscapes, the fauna and the flora of the Camargue, but also to cross a closed pasture dedicated to the breeding of Morucha bulls, the only one present in France, for an introduction to the ethology of the herds in the Camargue.
Whether you are a rider or a beginner, whether you are young or old, time will stand still under the beauty of the landscape. You will enjoy the passionate comments of your guide.
