Monumental gates, alleys lined with plane trees, vast bastides surrounded by landscaped parks... The elegance of the prestigious estates and wineries enhances the landscapes of the Aix countryside.
In the massifs of the Roques, the Chaîne des Côtes and the Trévaresse, the decorum of the great Provençal mas takes shape between rows of vines and wooded areas. At the edge of the pine and oak forests, a dovecote, a fountain, a chapel... add a delicate touch to this rich architectural and cultural heritage.

Once a place of pleasure and an aristocratic emblem, the Provençal bastide has become a place of history, wine and meetings dedicated to all epicureans.
Head north around the old town center via avenue Victor Hugo, boulevard du Roi René, boulevard Carnot, cours Saint Louis, then right on boulevard François and Emile Zola and avenue Jean Moulin.
Then turn right onto the Route des Pinchinants (RD63c) which takes you to the Pinchinats valley, a site listed as a site and historical monument since 1969 because "This vast site is representative of the country landscape that is the identity of the Pays d'Aix: an alternation of cultivated plots, pine forests and groves of green and white oaks the bastides and their parks alleys at the entrance of the bastides, some of which are linear trees of the riparian forests and classified as the Château de la Gaude.

At the exit of the valley take the RD63b to the right in the direction of Venelles.
But at the crossing with the RD13a do not take the direction of Venelles but continue on the RD63b.

About 500m after this crossing, take a small path on the left "chemin des pierres plates".
It leads you directly to the Domaine de l'Olibaou.
The Soriano family has chosen to produce artisanal and natural wines (white, rosé, red) and olive oil. From the cultivation of the trees to the processing of the fruit, all the products offered by the Domaine de l'Olibaou are part of an organic approach. As an additional guarantee of quality, the harvest is done by hand, in the purest olive and wine tradition, ensuring a meticulous selection of the grains used.
Passing through the sports park of Venelles, before the village you find the RD13a. Follow it to the cooperative cellar of the Quatre Tours.
Take the RD13a in the direction of Venelles le Haut. Cross the village in direction of the road of Saint Canadet - RD13.

Wine, art and architecture, such is the triptych so inspired and inspiring of Château La Coste. The estate extends over 220 hectares. A veritable amphitheater of vines, olive trees and truffle oaks, in the middle of which stands a long, streamlined building: the art center designed by Tadao Ando. Reception area, exhibition center, bookshop and several restaurants such as La Terrasse, Le Café T. Ando's Café or the Argentinean Restaurant of fire master Francis Mallmann set the tone: it's not just wine that aims for excellence! The winery in corrugated iron sheets signed by Jean Nouvel, the new Pavilion by Renzo Piano or the art trail in the vineyards with renowned signatures (Louise Bourgeois, Richard Serra Jean-Michel Othoniel, Alexander Calder ...), the artistic proposal rivals in interest with the exceptional wines and 100% organic domain.
