The Mediterranean by bike
Sport Subject, Subject SubjectPresentation
The Mediterranean by bike is the French part of EuroVelo 8, which will eventually link Spain to Cyprus via Greece over 5,888 km.
The Mediterranean by bike links the Pyrenees to the Alps, Spain to Italy via the crossroads of France. As a preamble, it climbs the Pyrenees chain via a section of the Catalan Pirinexus route. This cycle route reinvents a way of discovering the Mediterranean arc at your own pace. Combining sea, mountains, lakes, marshes, canals and a sublime heritage, heritage of the Roman Empire common to the Mediterranean, the promise of this beautiful route is to connect Le Perthus to Menton on a course typified adventure bike. Borrowing the most southern section of the Canal du Midi, but also one of the final sections of ViaRhôna, this cycle route will ensure you a unique experience to enjoy the south of France... by bike.
