In the shade of the trees, the picnic stretches out on the park's tables. We share a sandwich, repeat our favorite course, and savor this simple moment. For added comfort, La Cantine du Mas offers a relaxed lunch option. Here, everything is designed for families: water fountains, restrooms, and large open spaces where even the youngest children can still stretch their legs. We refill our water bottles, change our t-shirts, and the adventure continues, stress-free.

Afternoon between splashes and warm sand

In the afternoon, the scenery changes. We head to La Couronne. Warm sand underfoot, the light dancing on the Mediterranean, the steady sound of the waves. Some try their hand at beach volleyball, others glide peacefully on a pedal boat. The more adventurous take tow on an inflatable tube or try stand-up paddleboarding. Thrills, bursts of laughter, salty splashes. Meanwhile, the parents alternate between swimming and relaxing, watching over their happy and tired children.

A smooth, balanced day, where everyone finds their place. Memories that take root. And that precious feeling of having truly shared something together, at the gentle pace of Martigues.

Good to know : From June to September, rent a pedal boat on La Couronne beach or book an inflatable tube ride at the WaterSports 13 water sports center. By booking these activities on the Martigues Tourist Office website, you benefit from a preferential rate.
Suggested alternatives : La Couronne beach has a free beach volleyball court for those who prefer ball games. Snack bars and restaurants are open from April/May.
