Located in the Jonquières district, along the Caronte canal, it is dedicated to the martyr Saint Geniès.
Rebuilt in the 17th century, very sober, it was built in 1625 in a "counter-reform spirit", in reaction to the Baroque period.

The classical facade houses the statue of Gérard Tenque, born in Martigues in 1040, founder of the Order of Hospitallers known as Malta.
The statue was sculpted in the years 1880-1890 by a mason from Martigues, Nazaire Bernard.
The west facade was renovated in 2019.
