Red, rosé, and white wines from the Aix-en-Provence PDO and Méditerranée PGI: the taste of sunshine and fresh sea air, from Martigues to the Côte Bleue. Taste and take home the best of the Provençal Venice's terroir.
In the heart of present-day Martigues once stood Maritima Avaticorum, a Gallo-Roman city that marks the starting point of over two millennia of winemaking in Provence. The discovery of a vine dating back to the 2nd century BC attests to this winemaking heritage deeply rooted in our region.
In 1957, driven by the visionary spirit of a few winemakers, the Provençal Venice was born. From its first harvest in 1959, largely dedicated to red wines, the winery has kept pace with evolving tastes and expertise: the rise of rosé, then the recognition of white wine. One constant remains: the demanding pursuit of quality.
Today, the vineyard brings together 121 winemakers on 185 hectares, primarily located in the hamlets of Saint-Julien and Saint-Pierre. This vast depression, a blend of limestone, layered marl, and sand, benefits from exceptional sunshine. The proximity of the sea, the maritime influences, and the mistral wind create a dry and balanced climate, ideal for the expression of the vine.
True to our roots and resolutely focused on the future, we have undertaken significant modernization work on the winery to fully serve our quality ambitions. This approach has been rewarded by the trust and loyalty of both local and visiting customers.
Our range extends from fruit juices to sparkling wines made using the traditional method. It offers cuvées with a modern and vibrant style, as well as more classic expressions aged in barrels or amphorae, under the AOP Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence and IGP Méditerranée appellations.
We complement this offering with a refined selection of local bistro-style products: the iconic bottarga, olive oil, charcuterie, honeys, and other local specialties. All these are invitations to share a convivial moment and discover the richness of our gastronomy.
Our entire team is at your disposal to help you discover and taste the nectars of the Provençal Venice.
