Eco-hike & litter collection
Presentation
As part of our biodiversity exhibition, embark on an immersive and engaging walk to discover the natural treasures of the Martigues coastline. Between preserved landscapes, discovering local flora and fauna, and taking concrete action for the environment, enjoy a truly enriching experience.
Set off on a 2.5-hour educational hike with the Planète Perles association and delve into the heart of the Martigues coastline's riches.
During this guided walk, you will:
– observe the local biodiversity and natural environments that make up our coast,
– discover the fragile balance of coastal ecosystems,
– understand the environmental challenges impacting our beaches and our sea,
– learn simple and practical ways to protect these spaces every day.
Designed as a moment of sharing and raising awareness, this outing combines exploring the area, engaging discussions, and immersion in nature for a lively and accessible approach to ecology. The walk will conclude with a beach cleanup: a community action to concretely measure the impact of human activities and contribute, together, to the preservation of our beaches.
A friendly and inspiring experience, ideal for combining walking, exploration, and environmental commitment.

About
Conditions of salePractical information:
Please bring walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle. For your comfort, we recommend arriving approximately 15 minutes before the start of the tour.
Appropriate attire is required.
Cancellation policy: If a client is unable to attend the tour, it will not be refunded or rescheduled. Only cancellation of the tour by the organizers due to insufficient participants or other reasons may lead to a possible refund or rescheduling. No refund will be given to latecomers.
Why is this activity not accessible to everyone?
Coastal Topography: The 2.5-hour route runs along the Côte Bleue (Carro/Arnettes Beach area). The path alternates between coastal dirt trails, slippery rocky slabs, and sections of pebbles and sand, making it inaccessible to wheelchairs and difficult for people using canes or walkers.
Natural Obstacles and Changes in Elevation: The hiking trails along our coastline include inclines, natural stone steps, and narrow passages that require good motor skills and stable balance.
Nature of the Activity (Litter Collection): The litter collection activity involves frequently bending down, stepping over rocks, or squeezing into tight spaces to retrieve the waste, which requires complete physical agility.
Outdoor conditions: A 2.5-hour hike in full sun along the coastline, without any shade or benches to sit on, can be very strenuous for those who tire easily.
The eco-friendly approach: While the 2.5-hour hike on the rocks is demanding, this community action is open to everyone. Those with slight walking difficulties can certainly participate in the initial exchange at the meeting point or focus their cleanup efforts directly on the flat area of Arnettes beach.
