Presentation
10 a.m.: Free tour of the Jonquières market in Martigues.
From the early hours of the day, the stalls are filled with treasures from the Provencal region: sun-kissed fruits and vegetables, fragrant cheeses, tasty olives, fragrant aromatic herbs... Local producers compete with colors and flavors to offer visitors the best of Provençal gastronomy. But the Jonquières market is not limited to food products. There is also a wide choice of artisanal items and everyday products: clothing, jewelry, kitchen utensils, flowers, etc. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the traders, always smiling, are ready to share their passion and their know-how with visitors. Around the stalls, we also discover a few street food stands, where you can quickly taste local specialties such as socca, panisse or delicious frisée chichis, real essentials of Provençal gastronomy.
12 p.m.: Lunch at the restaurant.
3 p.m.: Visit to the Saint-Julien-les-Martigues wine cooperative cellar.
During your visit, you will have the opportunity to discover behind the scenes of wine production, in the company of passionate winegrowers who will reveal all the secrets of their profession to you. You will tour the vineyards, learning the different stages of winemaking, from harvest to bottling, including fermentation and aging. At the cellar, you will taste a selection of wines with rich and complex aromas, from the region's emblematic grape varieties, such as Grenache, Syrah or Mourvèdre. White, red or rosé, the wines from the Saint-Julien-les-Martigues cooperative cellar will delight the most demanding palates.
4:30 p.m.: End of services.
