Listed as a Historic Monument and awarded the ‘Musée de France’ label, this unique building was conceived by Victor Vasarely as a city of light and colour
// A monumental journey at your own pace //
On the ground floor, let yourself be amazed by a veritable labyrinth of shapes and colours! As you make your way through the 16 hexagonal modules, discover 42 monumental works that play with perspectives and optical illusions. Ceramics, glass, metal and tapestry: the materials interact to create a stunning visual experience.
Upstairs, the exhibition ‘Vasarely: Visual Artist’ traces the career of this extraordinary creator. Nearly 200 works, sketches and archive documents recount his development, from his early days in advertising to his monumental compositions.
// Play, experiment and share as a family //
To guide you on this journey of discovery, the outreach team offers lively and dynamic events: Temporary exhibitions: throughout the year, the Vasarely Foundation hosts temporary exhibitions, including a major summer exhibition organised annually in partnership with the Centre Pompidou.
