As part of the exhibition organized by the Tourist and Leisure Office “Martigues, city of waters”, capture the beauty and essence of this city rocked by the waves and rich in history. Discover the jewels of Martigues’ maritime heritage. During your photographic hike, you will be told the history of water in Martigues, from yesterday to today.
Unconfirmed route between
1. From the Tourist and Leisure Office, head towards the small blue bridges to the west, passing by Ferrières beach. Continue towards the small blue bridge to the east, exploring the Miroir aux Oiseaux via the old town and Place Mirabeau. Follow the canal on the lifting bridge side.
Or
2. Start at the Saint Sébastien canal, then follow the Quai des Anglais towards Pointe San Crist. Continue along the Quai Lucien Toulmond towards the blue bridge, the Baussenque canal, then the Quai Tessé towards the Ferrières beach. Discover the fountains of the Île district before returning to the Tourist and Leisure Office.
After the hike, return to the Tourist and Leisure Office for a group visit to the “Martigues, city of waters” exhibition. End this enriching day with a friendly moment around a friendly drink.

These outings give you the chance to discover the beauty of Martigues through your camera, while exploring its picturesque landscapes, rich architectural heritage and enchanting light.

Guided by experienced members of the Photo Club de Martigues, you'll receive expert advice on perfecting your photographic technique. They'll share practical tips on how to optimise your compositions, get the most out of your equipment and get the most out of your shots. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced photographer, these photo walks are the perfect opportunity to exchange ideas, learn new techniques and capture some remarkable images.
Showcasing talent
At the end of the walks, you'll have the chance to submit your best photos for a special selection. The winning images will be showcased at the prestigious 4th Festival de la Fédération Photographique de France 2025, in Martigues. This festival will be an exceptional showcase for celebrating the art of photography and promoting your talent.
