Capture the brilliance and charm of the city's illuminations on this hike under the play of light that transforms Martigues at nightfall. Take Rue de la République towards the Madeleine church, where you can capture the architectural details magnified by the nighttime lighting. Head towards the famous Miroir aux Oiseaux, whose reflections in the water create a magical atmosphere. Then continue along Quai Brescon, towards Jonquières. Walk along Cours and visit Saint-Genest church. If possible, explore the interior of the Annonciade to discover its artistic riches under intimate lighting. Return towards Ferrières via the lifting bridge. Enjoy the illuminations between the two blue bridges, which offer spectacular views of the city and its sparkling canals.
The Tourist and Leisure Office, in partnership with the Martigues Photo Club, invites you to participate in a series of four unique photographic hikes, in the heart of the city and along the water. These outings offer you the opportunity to discover the beauty of Martigues through your camera, while exploring its picturesque landscapes, its rich architectural heritage and its enchanting light.

Guided by experienced members of the Martigues Photo Club, you will benefit from expert advice to perfect your photographic technique. They will share practical tips to optimize your compositions, get the most out of your equipment and succeed in your shots. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced photographer, these photographic hikes are the ideal opportunity to exchange ideas, learn new techniques and capture remarkable images.
Talent promotion
At the end of the hikes, you will have the opportunity to submit your best photos for a special selection. The selected images will be showcased at the prestigious 4th Festival of the French Photographic Federation 2025, in Martigues. This festival will be an exceptional showcase to celebrate the art of photography and promote your talent.
