About
Conditions of sale9km hike - Medium difficulty. Strollers strongly discouraged. Bring good walking shoes, warm clothing, a flashlight or headlamp, and water.
Cancellation conditions: if a customer cannot attend the hike, it will not be refunded or exchanged. Only the cancellation of the visit by the Martigues Tourist Office due to insufficient number of participants or otherwise could lead to a possible refund or postponement. No refund will be granted to late customers.
Why is this activity not accessible to everyone?
1. Mixed and uneven terrain: Although the tour begins in the city, it ventures onto hillside paths and natural trails. These sections have stones, roots, and loose soil that make it difficult for wheelchairs and strollers to pass.
2. Reduced visibility: As the activity takes place at night, obstacles on the ground are much less visible. Even with a headlamp, the risk of falling is increased for people with balance or vision problems.
3. Elevation gain and physical exertion: The term "hike" implies uphill climbs to reach viewpoints overlooking the illuminated city. The cardiovascular effort and stress on the joints are not suitable for people with severe mobility issues.
4. Lack of signage: On the natural sections of the route, there are no features (handrails, tactile paving) to guide users with disabilities.
Safety tip: To fully enjoy the magic of the lights in Martigues, good physical agility is necessary. Wear good walking shoes and a headlamp to ensure your footing on the natural trails.
