The “Martigues – Etang de Berre” Trophy is an open water swimming competition which takes place exceptionally at the Tholon sailing base, Terre de Jeux 2024. A festive and friendly atmosphere and the discovery of an exceptional site.
4 distances on the program, 5000 m, 2500 m, 500 m and mixed 4x500 m relay, for a total of 4 events: Coupe de France, General public and palm(s). The Trophy is a stage of the EDF Aqua Challenge and the Coupe de France. The Trophy is an open water swimming race.
This event is organized by Martigues-Natation and the city of Martigues in partnership with the Lions Club and EDF Aqua Challenge. It is part of the open water calendar of the French Swimming Federation (FFN). It is open to all swimmers with or without fins.
The Trophy is oriented towards the pleasure of practicing sport in the great outdoors and respect for it. Although it is a stage of the 2024 French Open Water Cup and the PACA Cup, for the general public, it is important to take on a challenge facing yourself with perfect knowledge of your physical commitment limits.
The Trophy is part of the rehabilitation of the Étang de Berre and its candidacy to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Program :
-Saturday: opening of the village from 8:30 a.m. 5km fins (12 p.m.), 2.5km fins (2:30 p.m.), entertainment, Miami Race (3:30 p.m.), rewards. Opening of the evening from 6 p.m. Show (7 p.m.), concert (8 p.m.).
- Sunday: 5km (8 a.m.), entertainment, 2.5km (10:30 a.m.), rewards, 300m + 3x300m relay (2 p.m.), rewards.
