The "Martigues - Etang de Berre" Trophy is an open water swimming competition which takes place on the Ferrières beach in Martigues, located in the city center.
A festive and friendly atmosphere and the discovery of an exceptional site.

4 distances on the programme, 5000m, 2500m, 500m and mixed 4x500m relay, for a total of 4 events: Coupe de France, General-public and palme(s).
The Trophy is an open water swimming race. It takes place on Ferrières beach in Martigues and the Baussengue canal, located in the city center.

This event is organized by Martigues-Natation and the city of
Martigues in partnership with the Lions Club and EDF Aqua Challenge. It integrates
the open water calendar of the French Swimming Federation (FFN). She is
open to all swimmers with or without fins.

The Trophy is oriented towards the pleasure of practicing sport in the great outdoors and respecting it.
Although it is a stage of the 2022 French Open Water Cup and the
PACA, for the general public, it is important to take up a challenge in front of oneself by
perfect knowledge of the limits of physical engagement

The Trophy is part of the rehabilitation of the Etang de Berre and its candidacy to be listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
