Martigues Fishing Week takes place in mid-August. A national deep-sea fishing championship is held, followed by a fish weigh-in on the forecourt of the Town Hall.

Every evening, the fishermen return to port and weigh their catch. The fisherman with the biggest fish at the end of the competition is the grand winner.
End the evening on the port with a convivial meal and live music.
The public is invited to gather at 5:30 pm on the Town Hall square for the arrival of the boats and the fish weighing.
Saturday, August 15: Half-day make-up event in case of bad weather.
Parade of the crews, closing ceremony, and awards presentation.
Dance evenings with meals are offered over three days, from 8 pm to midnight, on the Martigues Town Hall square.
