Le Goût de Martigues is all about sharing and exchanging ideas, and this year it's taking place in the village of the world's fanatics, in the form of a large banquet for over 300 people organised by local community centres and social centres.
At the Fadas du Monde village, in the heart of summer, on the banks of a lake and pine forest, at the Tholon municipal water sports centre.
More than just a heritage, the Taste of Martigues is a true Provençal story that has been written over the centuries, nourished by its terroir and all the cultures it crosses and blends.
The AACS, and more specifically the Maison de Saint-Julien, coordinates a team of cooks from several social centres and neighbourhood centres (Jacques Méli, Jeanne Pistoun, Paradis Saint-Roch, Boudème/Jonquières, Croix Sainte and Carro), the Gargouillous, mobilising more than 25 people on the premises of the municipal cafeteria.
They worked with the catering department to draw up technical sheets and a menu.
This ambitious project brought together several partners: social centres, neighbourhood centres, the Cultural Department and cafeteria staff. The culinary preparations will come to fruition on 11 July at the grand banquet, marking the success of an exciting, cross-disciplinary and collective project.
