The Miraceti association will be celebrating 5 years of existence at La Couronne on the Côte Bleue, with a friendly, family-friendly event dedicated to the protection of cetaceans in the Mediterranean.
On the programme:
- Stands to raise awareness of cetaceans and the issues involved in preserving them.
- Games for children about the marine world.
- Musical performances.
- A presentation of the association's work and how it has evolved since it was founded.
This celebration, which is free and open to all, is designed to be informative, festive and intergenerational. It will highlight the importance of preserving cetaceans and the many initiatives undertaken over the last three decades to better understand and protect them.
About the association:
Founded in 2020, Miraceti is the result of the merger of three historic organisations involved in cetacean research and conservation since the 1990s: Groupe de Recherche sur les Cétacés (GREC), Souffleurs d'Ecume and GIS3M. Through this union, the association has been able to pool knowledge and skills to strengthen its actions and impact. As well as celebrating its official 5th anniversary, the event will also be an opportunity to look back over 30 years of commitment to the cetaceans of the Mediterranean.
