Presentation

Ideally located a stone's throw from the magical setting of the Miroir aux oiseaux, the Place de la Libération in Martigues changes its tempo all summer long.
Whether you're a seasoned dancer or simply a spectator enjoying a drink on the terrace and admiring the performers, the warm atmosphere of the Provençal Venice is sure to charm you.

Tuesdays (Latin Night): The renowned Martigues DJ Paco Team Latino takes the stage for electrifying salsa, bachata, and kizomba sessions.
Thursdays and Saturdays (Theme Nights & Live Entertainment): DJ Tonio Events takes over with live performances blending percussion and saxophone. Expect a variety of themed evenings throughout the season (80s/90s, Brazilian Carnival, Gypsy Night, etc.).

These events are organized by the four businesses on the square: La Cocotte de l’Île, Accademia Caffé, Café de la Marine, and Pub Provençal-La Canolle.
In collaboration with Les Vitrines Martégales (the Martigues Shopkeepers' Association), they are joining forces to make these gatherings unmissable highlights of Martigues life.

L’Île en Fêtes (The Island in Celebration) embodies the spirit of summer in Martigues: music, good cheer, encounters, and festive evenings to share with family and friends!
