Presentation

Come and see the Heimat show at the Pablo Picasso site in Martigues.
"Heimat?": A tribute to the sound that surrounds us...
The image+sound project "Heimat?" brings together the musical traditions of France and Switzerland with the urban sonic backdrops of our time. The question of the individual and spiritual meaning of sounds is at the heart of this project.
The New2Art+ ensemble (Jens Ruland, percussionist and Judith Wegmann, piano), which developed the "Heimat?" project in collaboration with Bernese sound artist Matthias Müller, French composer Philippe Festou, and German multimedia artist Nicolas Wiese, combines composition, improvisation, and video art. It examines the acoustic identity of our living space.
Music, electronic sounds, and visual elements blend into a poetic yet profound narrative that inspires reflection. A concentrated atmosphere blending memories, emotions, and sensory impressions—sometimes gentle and harmonious, sometimes intense and stimulating.

Jens Ruland: Percussion, Judith Wegmann: Piano, Matthias Müller: Live electronics (New2Art), Philippe Festou: Composition, and Nicolas Wiese: Video art.
'Sound Waves, Off-season' (free admission), reservations recommended.
Opening period (s)Saturday 25 October 2025 between 6.30 pm and 7.45 pm.
