Martigues celebrates its liberation day. Find the program of events in the village of La Couronne and in downtown Martigues.

Liberation Day program in Martigues.

- Friday, August 21 at La Couronne market square.
6:00 PM – Wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument to the Lost at Sea (Carro).
6:45 PM – Parade departs from the town hall annex featuring military vehicles from the HM2P association.
7:00 PM – Commemorative ceremony at the War Memorial, followed by a reception hosted by the City.
6:00 PM – 11:30 PM: Night market.
9:00 PM: "No Name" concert and meal.

- Saturday, August 22 in Martigues town center.
6:15 PM – Parade with military vehicles departing from Cours du 4 Septembre (Jonquières).
6:30 PM – Official ceremony at the WWII War Memorial (Jonquières).
8:00 PM: "Plan B" musical group performing in the L'Île district.
