Presentation

Behind Rudeness Sounds are two Swiss enthusiasts of Jamaican music—and Black music in the broader sense!
Behind Rudeness Sounds are two Swiss enthusiasts of Jamaican music—and "black music" in the broader sense! They offer a sharp selection of Ska, Rocksteady, and Early Reggae, played exclusively on 45rpm vinyl records. They are the founders of the collective and the venue "La Turbine" in Geneva, a hub for alternative music. Over the past decade, they have traveled across Europe, visiting many of the continent’s skinhead and reggae scenes. They have crossed paths and shared the decks with acts such as Soul Rockers (Italy), Black Forest Trojan Crew (Germany), Liquidator (Spain), Berlin’s Midnight Drifters, Massilia Sound System (France), and Lily Rudies (UK). They have also played after-concert sets for artists including Roy Ellis, Lone Ark & the 18th Parallel, Reggae Workers of the World, and The Utopians. With a wealth of experience and impeccable taste, they know exactly how to command the dance floor and keep you moving!

Association membership required (contribution based on a "pay what you can" solidarity model).
