Are you crazy about music? French chanson and gypsy swing? Les fadas du Monde invite you to a solo concert by Sanseverino. Outdoors in the Cour de l'île. Free admission.

‘A solo tour is a bit of an old dream that you never dare start. I've been doing it for a long time now - folk, blues, swing and my songs, that's what it's all about!
Inspired by gypsy music, gypsy jazz and the electric music of the 40s and 50s, from Django to Zappa, Stéphane, aka Sanseverino, has been coming up with zany, virtuoso arrangements for the last twenty years. Moving with ease from gypsy swing to rock and blues, his albums cover decades of music and influences, always with virtuosity and accuracy.

Born in 1961 to Italian grandparents, Stéphane Sanseverino was attracted to comedy, music and travel from an early age. He began his artistic career in the theatre, before turning to music, rediscovering his passion for the guitar and banjo. His first live gigs were with Voleurs de Poules, the first band he co-founded, before he embarked on his solo career.
Winner of the Victoires de la Musique award in 2003 for Best New Live Artist of the Year, Sanseverino has gone from the smallest bar-concerts to legendary venues and major festivals. With twelve studio albums to his name, he is unstoppable, and never ceases to confide, ‘What interests me most on earth is going out to play concerts’.
