The godfathers of French rap, IAM from Marseilles, will be setting Martigues alight. In the 1st half, Sofiane Pamart, the king of piano. An open-air concert, as part of the Martigues Summer Festiv'Halle 2024, with the City of Martigues and Sud Concerts.
- The group IAM, active since 1988, is made up of rappers Akhenaton and Shurik'n, DJs, composers and beatmakers Kheops and Imhotep, and sound engineer, manager and tour manager Kephren.
With a career spanning thirty years and eight albums behind them, IAM are the two pillars of French rap, along with NTM, their sister group and rival.
Their third album, "L'École du micro d'argent", is the best-selling French rap album in history, with over 1.6 million copies sold to date.
Known for their unique musical style, their lyrics are often politically engaged, dealing with issues such as social injustice, racism and urban violence.
- Sofiane Pamart was the first pianist to perform solo at the iconic Bercy concert hall in Paris, which was sold out for the occasion.
The French composer and pianist hails from Hellemmes, near Lille. The rapper-like pianist is a self-proclaimed King of the Piano.
He will be releasing his first album, Planet, in 2019, inspired by his travels. All the tracks are named after cities: Medellin, Havana, Paris.
In 2022, he released a new album, the tracks on which, taken together, take the form of a message of thanks to his fans: Dear, public, your, love, saved,...

Access to the festival is authorised for minors. Legal guardians will be asked to sign a waiver for young children (under 3), and parents are advised to have them wear headphones or earplugs (available at the festival).
