Presentation

The Livrodrome: the unmissable event to kick off your summer with books! On 8 July, the Livrodrome will be stopping off in Martigues for the first time, for the 8th leg of its Tour de France 2025. At Camping de l'Arquet, on the Côte Bleue. Free admission.
In case of rain, meet at the Louis Aragon multimedia library.
Dedicated to teenagers and pre-teens aged 10 to 18, as well as families, the Livrodrome is a literary theme park that travels around France every summer, setting up in 10 towns and inviting the public to discover books as they've never seen them before by taking part in nearly 15 fun and original literary attractions, then leaving with books thanks to the hundreds of book vouchers offered at each stop.

On the programme, non-stop from 10am to 6pm: Literary Tattoo Box, Giant Comic Book Scrabble, Literary Prescription Booth, Creative Writing Roulette, Big Wheel of Words, Bookclub, Audio Book, Hanging Library, Living Books, Giant Memory, Creative Workshops, Express Caviarage, Who Am I Manga, Literary Time's up, Chamboule-tout...
Among the guests on this exceptional day: Bertrand Puard, Lisa Lugrin, Caroline Nasica, Jez, Pauline Barzilai, Rohan Houssein and many other partners, including the Louis Aragon multimedia library, the Bouches-du-Rhône education league, and the Alinéa and Argonaute bookshops. ..
The Livrodrome is a unique project in France and Europe, designed to (re)instil a taste for books and reading in tomorrow's readers and authors. It's an event not to be missed!

In detail:
- 1. L'Atelier.
Authors, illustrators, scriptwriters and professionals - Bertrand Puard, Lisa Lugrin, Caroline Nasica,
Pauline Barzilai, Jez and Meghan Bouchouareb (médiathèque Louis Aragon) - will be taking turns all day long
to offer fun and original writing workshops and comic book workshops to
discover the techniques and creative processes specific to the 9th art. Registration required for workshops.
- 2. living books.
Media librarians from the Martigues public reading network will be on hand all day in
to talk about the books they love and which have marked their adolescence. At each
session, the teenagers seated opposite them will go home with the book that convinced them the most.
- 3 The Literary Prescription Booth.
Take advantage of a literary consultation with an author, illustrator or bookseller, and get a prescription
for the book that's right for you - that's what the Literary Prescription Booth offers. Each patient
then leaves with a personalised prescription and a list of titles that can then be purchased
in bookshops or libraries.
- 4. the Case-tête.
12 covers, 12 texts. Can you make the right pairs to win the game and go home with
the album of your choice? Le Case-tête invites you to explore the links between scriptwriters and their illustrators
by revisiting the Memory game.
- 5. The Big Wheel.
By turning this Ferris wheel, participants can leave it to fate to discover and try out
writing games, each more fun than the last, devised by the Ligue de l'enseignement 13.
-6. Le Méli-Mélo.
A 30-square roulette wheel, 8 players, a ‘referee’ and the game can begin: with each round of
roulette, a word is collected... Each player must then redouble their imagination and creativity to
succeed in the challenge imagined: each write a text around a surprise theme revealed on the day imagined by
the writer, slammer and artist with a thousand facets Rohan Houssein, using the 8 words collected
collectively, and then come and slam it on the microphone!
- 7 Le Scrabulle.
Built with the association On a Marché sur la Bulle in Amiens and designed by Etienne Lécroart as part of a residency at the Cité internationale de la langue française, this attraction fuses the French language
with the art of comic strips! Teenagers compete by creating comic strips of 2, 3, 4,
5, 6 or 7 squares, playing with the French language and its expressions, on a monumental game board. Funny,
quirky, subversive, these stories are also a way of immersing ourselves in the great history of the French language
and the French-speaking world.
- 8. The Tattoo Box.
First, a question-and-answer game, in the form of a quiz, to find out which animal from La Fontaine's
fables you are and which moral suits you best... Depending on the answers, the corresponding
ephemeral tattoo will be created and the fable offered in the form of a postcard to
send to the person of your choice or to keep preciously with you.
- 9 Le Livre sonore.
Designed by Jérôme Hoffmann, this installation invites the public to sit in a giant book and
enjoy an immersive reading experience, through headphones, based on the collection of short stories published
by the CNL for the 11th edition of Partir en livre, written by 10 of the greatest teenage authors of our time
on the theme of ‘Animals and Us’.
- 10. The Bookclub.
A giant audio library where teenagers can discover 50 literary favourites
from their peers, in the hope that they too will want to read them. In partnership with the
Pass Culture Bookclub.
- 11. Le Caviardage express.
Created by Fabienne Yvert, this literary game involves taking an existing text - this year from
guest authors - and isolating 10 words to give it a new meaning: your own! Drawings, cross-hatching,
selections - whatever it takes to deconstruct and rewrite the pages on offer.
- 12. Book Games.
Designed and presented by the staff of the Louis Aragon multimedia library, this event offers you the chance to
rediscover the great classic games, adapted for the occasion in a literary style! Who am I? manga,
Time's up, messy summaries or a literary bluff game, the Book Games will reward the most
clever, the most creative and the most literary among you...
- 13. Chamboul'Livres.
Inspired by the traditional chamboule-tout, the Chamboul'Livres, devised by the Martigues media library,
, will crown the most skilful among you. After listening to a reading from each of the
works on offer, each participant is invited to choose the book that moved them the most. But to win the prize, you'll need to be sure that
your arm isn't shaking when you throw the magic ball...
- 14. The Bookmobile.
The Martigues Bookmobile will be at the Arquet campsite for the first time, providing
an opportunity to meet the town's librarians, to sit down and read or to discover
the most innovative experiments in digital reading.
- 15. The Bookshop.
Alongside these attractions, the bookshop area run by l'Alinéa and l'Argonaute will be offering a selection of
books about the guests, linked to the theme of the 11th edition of Partir en livre - animals and
nous - and their own selection, which will be available thanks to the book vouchers won
at the various Livrodrome attractions.
And to round off this exceptional day, the Livrodrome and the Louis Aragon multimedia library are inviting the
public to take part in the ultimate battle: a literary eloquence contest in which everyone will have to express their
acting and reading talents to win...
