For over twenty years, the Ben Aïm brothers have been creating a unique dance, imbued with poetry, exacting standards, and brotherhood. Their pieces blend dance, theatre, and circus, exploring movement as an experience that is both intimate and collective.
With Tender Anger, they explore the collective as a vital force: the individual merges with it, and anger becomes the driving force of a visceral and exhilarating energy.
Tender Anger is born from a state of shock in the face of the world. What to do when meaning falters? When the destruction of life and humanity's aimless wandering seem inevitable? To revolt, to unite, to find solace, to go to war: these are all paths open to the individual when they turn their distress toward the collective. Disturbing alchemies then arise, where wills surrender, become intoxicated by a fraternal and comforting power, and are carried beyond themselves to rediscover a reason for being, even if it means tilting at windmills. Tender Anger is an invitation to act, to reconnect, to reinvent ourselves together. A powerful piece, performed by ten virtuoso artists.
