Presentation

At the intersection of dance and theater, the British company Lost Dog is unlike any other. Their performances in France are rare, and their style is unclassifiable.
Artistic director Ben Duke masterfully wields tragedy and comedy to deliver a unique experience in each performance. Ruination is no exception. Created in co-production with the Royal Ballet in London and performed to sold-out audiences, the show blends dance, music, and theater to offer a modern take on the myth of Medea. Ben Duke highlights the paradoxes of this great tragic tale to restore humanity to this female figure, often portrayed as monstrous. Sometimes funny, sometimes tragic, sometimes powerful, but always moving, Medea rises to tell her side of the story.
"A masterpiece of dance theater... poignant, raw, funny, and at times breathtaking." The Guardian
In English with French surtitles.
