Director Bernard Lévy takes on one of the comic classics of Italian theater, written by Dario Fo, Nobel Prize winner for literature, and Franca Rame.
This irresistible satire highlights human absurdity and our relationship to work and power.

In what he considers to be a real theatrical “war machine”, Bernard Levy orchestrates the story of a group of workers revolted by the increase in prices who decide to rob a supermarket. One of them then hides the loot under her coat, triggering a series of hilarious misunderstandings. First written in 1974, against the backdrop of worker struggles in Milan, this political satire was rewritten in 2008 at the time of the subprime crisis. Bernard Levy succeeds in maintaining the social and political relevance of the play while favoring laughter. A harsh and truculent mirror of our consumer society!
