Renowned for their spectacular mastery of lifts, the acrobats of the XY collective are making a stop in Martigues to transform the Salins stage into a living and constantly changing universe.
Through human pyramids and swirling acrobatics, they draw us into
organic and metaphorical landscapes imbued with poetry and magic.
Following Möbius, inspired by the poetry of flocks of starlings, Le Pas du Monde (The Step of the World), the collective's latest creation, explores ways of existing in relation to others. The artists, through body and voice, explore the relationships between humans, animals, and plants. The raw energy of their bodies describes waves, collapsing peaks, successive blossomings, and each movement recounts the flow of life and the universe. All connected, all linked. This creation stands as a humble attempt at reconciliation with the living world and its temporal rhythms.
