It is at La Couronne lighthouse that the observations will take place given the little visual and light pollution of the surroundings. Meet at 7 p.m. where a series of events is planned to celebrate the stars.
The quest for origins will be the theme of the 2024 edition.
The heavenly spectacle will also be with the maximum of the Perseids. The deep sky will be within reach of our telescopes, from the Milky Way from north to south, from Cassiopeia and Perseus, to Scorpio and Sagittarius, towards the galactic center.
- Observation area: around twenty instruments will point out the remarkable objects visible that evening.
Projection on the lighthouse.
- Constellations discovery area: virtual walks in the sky with laser pointing.
- Exhibition space for the work of amateur astronomers: photos, models and observation object.
- Children's area with members of Astro club M 13 and the Société Astronomique Flammarion: science awareness.
- Conference space.
With clubs in the region.
Also worth noting: on the same day BUT at Ferrières beach (town centre), from 4pm to 7pm, "Preparing for your astro evening".
As part of Starry Night, and before the evening's observations, you'll be able to discover a number of smartphone applications and digital tools for preparing and organising your observations.
