Three days of celebration on the beach of Verdon for this great weekend.
You have an appointment with about fifty international kite flyers.
About ten countries will be represented.
Several regions of France will also be present.

They will offer free demonstrations of kites, large structures, traditional kites and will give advice to help the youngest to practice flying.
Initiation to traction sail inflating, boomerang throwing, model aircraft demonstration, wind garden, candy releases and kite sales.
- Kite-making workshops will be held for children and teenagers from Saturday 29 April to Monday 1 May 2023, at 10am, 11am, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm (Monday mornings only).
They will take place on the esplanade of the first aid post.
Registration is on site.
- The weekday workshops, from Tuesday 25 to Friday 28 April 2023: They are open to groups upon reservation by email (and within the limits of available places). They are led by international artists who will offer young people and people with disabilities the opportunity to make traditional kites or wind objects, to learn how to fly a kite or a traction sail.
- Demonstrations: in the centre of the beach, in an enclosed area, for safety reasons. The beauty of the kite or the desire to meet kite flyers should not make you forget that they can represent a danger. Monofilament, large structures, traditional kites, all compete in originality and illuminate the sky with their colours. You can easily admire them from a little further away.
- The wind garden: you can walk around and admire the inventiveness and creativity of their director.
- The candy releases: they are programmed according to the weather and reserved for the youngest children.
- The public space: a space is specially reserved for the public who wish to try kite flying.
The Kite Festival is organised by the Coup de Vent association, in partnership with the City of Martigues, the PACA Region, the General Council of the Bouches-du-Rhône, the Association pour l'Animation des Centres Sociaux et des Maisons de quartier and Radio Maritima.
Free entry and parking.
