Co-director of Agora, Cité Internationale de la Danse – Montpellier Danse + CCN Occitanie, Jann Gallois is a self-taught choreographer whose unique choreographic writing is nourished by an undeniably contemporary hip-hop technique.
Here, she composes a vibrant sextet where bodies, united in synergy, weave a hypnotic and transcendent dance.
In this ritual of a new kind, gentleness becomes strength and slowness, a cry. The performers, through their individuality and their solidarity, remind us that beneath the conflicts and disorder, a shared energy animates us, immutable and universal. Against the destruction, hatred, and violence of the present, choreographer Jann Gallois intends to remind us that another path is possible. Imminentes presents this alternative as an overflow, a penetrating tide carried by six sovereign women—witches, goddesses, nymphs—who raise their whispers like roars. Imminentes sweeps us along, like a restorative choreographic wave, in the wake of these gentle warriors overflowing with life.
