Adèle Royné, a young actress and author, has written a family and theatrical diptych that follows Louise, her brothers and their entourage in two decisive moments: a family reunion and a wedding.
Two episodes, two distinct tones: first, a family drama with the feel of a settling of scores, followed by a romantic comedy with tragic undertones.
In the first part, Louise, a comedian estranged from her mother, returns to the family home for Mother's Day. Her mother's absence transforms the gathering into a bloodbath that is both cruel and cathartic. In the second, five years later, everyone is busy trying to prevent Louise's wedding. Part reimagined farce, part intimate chronicle, the diptych unfolds with a rhythmic and musical style, brought to life by a cast of actors with strong personalities. Through this family saga, Adèle Royné explores with subtlety and humor the desires, contradictions, and dizzying heights of adulthood, in that fragile in-between state where one is no longer quite a child without yet fully becoming oneself.
