The Halle de Martigues is being transformed into a giant film studio. Workshops, film sets, special effects, screenings, competitions and film-ball evenings are on the program to discover the behind-the-scenes world of cinema.
A unique immersive event dedicated to the professions and techniques of filmmaking.
For three days, follow an interactive and educational journey that will transform you from a simple spectator into an explorer of the behind-the-scenes world of cinema.
You'll discover the different stages of creating a film: pre-production, filming, post-production, and distribution. Each stage will be presented through themed areas, demonstrations, and workshops led by professionals.
Those who are curious can learn more about the various professions involved: screenwriters, sound engineers, lighting technicians, special effects specialists, makeup artists, costume designers, stunt performers... It's all there!
Throughout the visit, you can: observe a film set, attend a casting call, discover makeup techniques, understand special effects, and see demonstrations of sound effects and dubbing... A journey perfectly suited for families, young audiences, and film enthusiasts.
Short film screenings will allow visitors to interact with the filmmakers and learn about the filmmaking process.
Ciné Exploration will showcase young talent through various competitions:
- Script Challenge (ages 6-18): Write your screenplay on the provided theme. Selected projects will be mentored by a team of professionals to produce a short film, which will be screened at a special event.
- Ciné Son Challenge (students and creators in the fields of film and music): Create a sound interpretation of selected short films (film music, sound effects, voice-over).
Film and dance parties to extend the experience:
A festive atmosphere combining music and film at unique evenings featuring screenings, artistic performances, and a musical ambiance inspired by different eras of cinema.
