After La Nuit du Cerf and Entre Chiens et Louves, acclaimed at Les Salins in 2021 and 2025, Cirque Le Roux returns with its latest creation: Nature Morte.
At the crossroads of circus, physical theatre, and visual composition, the company once again showcases the virtuosity of its performers in a series of tableaux blending tragic humor, visual poetry, and acrobatic feats.
In a future where emotions seem regulated and frozen, Still Life follows the wanderings of awkward yet touching characters, searching for gestures, glances, and connections that crack the established order. Driven by remarkable technical mastery, the bodies leap, fall, and catch themselves, subtly conveying the tensions and impulses of intimacy. The dynamic and adaptable set design becomes a true partner in the performance: rotating walls and sliding panels accompany the artists in a constantly transforming space. Between the absurd and the sublime, fragility and power, Still Life offers a theatre of almost nothing, where each virtuoso gesture evokes emotion.
